Ukraine has announced the commencement of large-scale manufacturing for an innovative domestically developed interceptor drone to strengthen its air defences. Three initial producers have started production, with an additional eleven getting ready to establish assembly lines, the defence ministry stated this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Combat Conditions

These UAVs utilize a domestically developed system called “Octopus” designed to intercept Iranian-made drones. This technology underwent testing in actual battle and demonstrated successful “during nighttime, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” the ministry confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established a target of producing as many as 1,000 interceptors daily.
