The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a California Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The celebrated video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
