'Living a Nightmare': Loved Ones of Missing Teenagers Await Information After Alpine Fire
The relatives of young people missing after a devastating fire at a establishment in a Switzerland's alpine town are enduring an painful wait for official news and pleading for information about their family members online.
The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of the first day of the year. Circulated video reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Authorities have indicated that it could take considerable time to formally name the fatalities of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and injured another scores more.
