Jude Bellingham Must Cut Out the Immature behavior to Secure a Key Position With Manager Thomas Tuchel.

Should Bellingham hopes to force his way into the English strongest team, the smart move to do away with the unnecessary reactions. The way he reacted after noticing that the substitute board was being shown after a match of inconsistency in Tirana fell short of expectations.

"I don’t want to make more out of it but I stick to my words 'behaviour is key' and respect for the teammates who enter the game," stated Tuchel. "Choices are taken and you need to comply when you're on the field."

Bellingham has to learn. It was unnecessary for an outburst. Kane had recently scored to make the national team two goals ahead in an inconsequential match, there were six minutes left and he, following an inconsistent display, received a caution for a foul on Armando Broja. This was hardly a controversial substitution. In fact it might have been reckless for the head coach to keep Bellingham on the pitch because there was a chance he would rule himself out of the opening game of the tournament by picking up a second caution.

Drawing Attention to Himself

However, the player turned the spotlight on himself. It was impossible to miss the 22-year-old’s frustration upon understanding that he was going to make way for another player. His arms went up in exasperation and even though he exchanged a handshake on his way to the bench there was no doubt that the head coach was displeased.

This represents the hurdle facing Bellingham. He praised Marcus Rashford for delivering the cross for the captain to nod home the team's second, but everything else was harmful to his cause. It's not like arguing was going to reverse the substitution. The German has talked so much about respecting team hierarchies and the importance of showing proper conduct.

Facing Examination

The midfielder, left out of the previous squad, has faced close inspection after returning to the squad this month. In effect he was being assessed and his actions haven't benefited him with his response to being taken off as England completed a perfect qualifying campaign by defeating a feisty challenge from the Albanian team.

The System and the Setup

It means it's unclear on how the squad operate most effectively with Bellingham in the team. What we saw was not definitive. There was experimentation from the manager early on. Under him, England have gained England organization and direction over the past few matches, employing a No 6, a box-to-box player, an attacking midfielder and specialist wingers, but the approach changed in this match. The young defender was handed his international debut, Wharton made his first start internationally and the use of the defender as a part-time midfielder created a faint echo to City's team that won three trophies.

Mixed Performance

His performance was inconsistent. He made a chance for Eberechi Eze in the latter period but often looked too desperate to impress. Several hurried and errant passes. A pointless clash with a rival player at the beginning. The team looked disjointed for much of the second half. One Albania chance followed Bellingham gave the ball away. His booking occurred when he lost the ball to Broja and fouled Broja.

Squad Strength Shows

Finally the squad's strength was decisive. Tuchel threw on Phil Foden, who seemed better suited to the role occupied by Bellingham during the first half, and Bukayo Saka. In time Saka provided a set-piece for Kane to score the first goal. It was a reminder that set pieces will play a key role at the World Cup.

Bridge Still Stands

However, the focus was on Bellingham. The brilliance of the winger's delivery for Kane’s header was partly forgotten in the ridiculousness of the player change. At the end, everyone was watching him. The coach approached to his side and pushed the player in the direction of the travelling England fans. The bond between them is not damaged. The coach isn't ready to discard the player just yet. Yet whether he is willing to offer him a starring role is still uncertain.
